Lettered Keychains

Brief: Design and create an object using a laser cutter

I created laser engraved, hand lettered, leather keychains as a way of spreading positivity to others. I combined something that is used on a daily basis with a positive word or phrase to act as a daily reminder.

The Process: This project started out with sketching words and phrases, lettering them in procreate, and then vectorizing the words in Illustrator. Next, I designed templates for the circular and loop keychains. I created a variety of shapes, so I could test which templates worked best during the putting together process. In the end, the cirular, foldover template and loop template worked the best.
